Our school days include circle time, where we welcome each other and do activities related to the calendar and theme, encouraging cognitive learning, science exploration, language and physical literacy. We have snack time, which includes a washroom routine and a healthy snack and drink. There is a wide variety of daily activities for the children to choose from, such as creative play, arts and crafts, and play-based learning.
*Note: Erin Mills Cooperative Nursery School has registered with the Canada-wide Early Learning Child Care (CWELCC) system. These fees are effective January 2023 and are subject to change. In addition, non-Participating families will be subject to an incremental fee. These spots are limited, please contact us for availability and pricing.
Monthly calendars and newsletters are distributed to all of our families, which outline the programming themes for the month (for example, dinosaurs, outer space, underwater life). Outdoor play is incorporated into the curriculum (weather-permitting) such as tobogganing and outdoor games. Theme-related field trip, such as the pumpkin patch in the fall, the maple sugar bush in spring, and Ripley’s Aquarium are always a fun time for everyone.
Our ECE teachers surround your child with encouragement, allowing them to play and learn together. We offer a program appropriate to each child’s needs and accept each child as a unique individual. At Erin Mills Co-op self-esteem and confidence are built on each child’s strengths and interests.

Outdoor Play
Our curriculum includes outdoor play such as nature hikes, tobogganing, sports and outdoor games.
* Outdoor play is not a part of our daily curriculum. It is weather and time permitting.
Special Activities
Throughout the year, the children are given the opportunity to attend various educational field trips as well as seasonal parties. Our favorite field trips have been the Springridge Farm Pumpkin Patch, and the Royal Ontario Museum’s Dinosaur Exhibit.
